Today is Andrew's birthday...25 years old today. Still my baby!!!! We called him and he and Claire had a busy day planned.
Mon dieu, it was sunny today, which meant biking with Curt Harnett, and 5 guides. They have all conquered Mont Ventoux. Peter is in the Macchiato group, the intermediates, and they are cycling

40kms today. I am in the cappucino group and we are being driven to the top of this gorge and then we cycle 20 kms to the bottom. Hmmmmm, breathtaking and a little scary. The road down is not quite 2 lanes and is on the cliff face. On 2 turns, one could not see where the road was; just the drop. Cycling requires some thought control for me, and today I certainly had to do just that. I did it and was mighty proud of myself. We then had to cycle only 20(!) more kms back to Crillon de Brave. The beautiful sunny morning changed to rain, and a 30 second hail storm. Dorothy and I reached the bottom of the steep incline to Crillon de Brave, in pouring rain, and decided to walk to the top.
Tonight, we had a rose wine tasting, and we all wore pink. We sat with Kurt Harnett, Canadian Olympic medal cyclist, a young couple from Winnipeg, Karen, one of the main organizers, and, a couple from Toronto. We had a fabulous meal and amazing conversation. We left the table at midnight!
